A Personal Intake

Meet Malala Yousafzai. As many might know, in 2012, Malala was shot twice by a terrorist group that was against girls that believed that they should be able to go to school and get an education. After months of rehabilitation, Malala worked hard to go and use her story to help others around the world that didn't have a voice overcome this struggle.

“It was then I knew I had a choice: I could live a quiet life or I could make the most of this new life I had been given. I determined to continue my fight until every girl could go to school (Malala Fund.org).”

Although, Malala's story is unique in many ways, Malala isn't the only one that has gone through this struggle. Infact, there are over 130 million girls having their rights stripped from them all over the world.

Today, Malala and her fund are fighting to give back girls what poverty, war and discrimination tried to take away. She and many other advocates are what the world needs in order to help us give all girls the opportunity to learn and lead.
